About The Representative
Sarah Dawn Montes is born and raised in the same district she is running to represent. The roots of her family tree are deeply entrenched in the state of Utah. Born to Donovan Niitsuma and Rebecca Niitsuma, she grew up attending Roosevelt Elementary. She then attended Granite Park Middle School where she developed a love for mathematics. That love propelled her forward to be accepted at AMES (Cottonwood High) and she graduated at the top of her class. With all of these tools, she was given a full ride scholarship to Westminster University. A proud recipient of the Randy Horiuchi Scholarship, she elevated this opportunity and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. Using that same passion to solve problems, she shifted her focus to helping her community. As part of the SLCo GOP her responsibilities brought her closer to her own district. District 32. She is currently a teacher giving back the same encouragement her teachers gave her throughout her journey. A clear example that the American Dream exists, even in our own backyard.
